The island's most famous trail — from the highlands to the north fajã and its clam lagoon.

A linear route through the Fajãs do Norte protected landscape. Starts near Serra do Topo, descends past Caldeira de Santo Cristo — a lagoon famed for its clams — and ends at Fajã dos Cubres. Passes waterfalls, a sanctuary, intermediate fajãs and historic steel cables once used to haul firewood.
